What’s happening on the radio in your town.

ScannerScope follows police, fire and EMS radio and writes it up in plain English, with the original audio. New incidents appear within a few minutes.

How it works

We record the radio feed through Broadcastify, separate each transmission, and transcribe it. Software then groups the traffic into incidents, finds the location, and writes a short summary. You can always play the original audio to check it.

Incidents usually appear a few minutes after they happen, and their summaries fill in as more traffic comes through. To hear the radio as it happens, use Listen live.

Summaries can be wrong. Medical and welfare calls are only placed to the nearest road. For emergencies, call 911.
